About Me

Serving as the Medical Director and Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist at The Mind Faculty, and as a co-founder of this mental health center, the focus of my practice extends beyond traditional labels like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. My approach centers on treating the individual as a whole, not just the illness, through a range of therapies tailored to each patients specific needs.

A diverse set of therapeutic methods are employed, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapies, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical therapy, and a unique program called Mental Calisthenic Therapy, which was developed by myself to enhance mental agility and emotional resilience.

Working with clients of all ages, from adolescents to the elderly, the greatest passion lies in working with adolescents, who are at a crucial and challenging developmental stage. Areas of special interest include trauma, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and depression.

During the first session, I conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. I believe it is crucial to understand the client holistically while also allowing the client to become familiar with my therapeutic approach. Together, we explore the most beneficial treatment strategies to support their journey toward mental well-being.

I am fluent in English, Malay, and Tamil, which allows me to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
