by The Mind Faculty
This September, we are holding the tenth intake of our ever-popular Mindfulness workshop.
In this frantic world, it's easy to feel unfocused, disconnected and overwhelmed. This can manifest in depression, anxiety and unresolved health issues. Clinical studies have down that mindfulness can help us to cope with stress, pain and improve our overall health.
Mindfulness for Focus and Well-Being
Our mindfulness program is based on the clinically proven Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). It teaches you skills to improve your stress management, build your emotional resilience and increase your cognitive awareness. It helps you to develop and draw on your own inner resources to bring about focus, greater balance stability and well-being.
What to Expect:
A 90-minute class once a week for 8 weeks.
A day-long intensive (10 am - 5 pm) between weeks 5 and 7.
Guided mindfulness meditation.
Gentle stretching and movement.
Basic stress physiology
Exploration of habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and action.
Brief lectures, discussions and sharing.
